Coco-grams!

The Kennedy robotics team sold holiday Coco-grams in the foyer this week for $1 a piece. In a Coco-gram, there is a hot chocolate package, two peppermint candy canes, and a piece of chocolate of your choice. You can even pick a cute label to write your friends name on. I bought two Coco-grams for my friends. One of my friends I gave a Coco-gram to was excited about it because she was hungry and felt happy to be getting a gift, even if it was small.
I talked to one of the robotics team members Austin Strait. I asked why they decided to use Coco-grams to raise money and Austin said: "We had a lot of it sitting in our rooms and we found extra candy canes and candy." A goal the robotics team was to raise enough money to buy new equipment and parts. They needed new parts so they could complete all the tasks that their robot faced at Rover Ruckus. Rover Ruckus is a place where robots are challenged by having to do a task like picking something up and move it or something similar. I asked Austin about the challenges and he responded, "A lot of them are picking up a block and moving it somewhere". I think its cool that they created the coco-grams to raise money for their team and make someone's day.  I hope they do it again next year too.
